Robert Knoester Vice President Genmab

We chose to locate at Utrecht Science Park because of the proximity of Utrecht University. The network that co-founder Professor Jan G.J. van de Winkel has both in and outside of Utrecht University, is of substantial importance to us. We also have access to a range of other institutes active in the field of biotechnology or related disciplines within the Utrecht Science Park.

Utrecht University offers Genmab yet another advantage: “Finding employees with the right background and education is easier in this region than in many others. That advantage works both ways. Genmab is one of the few biotech companies in the area with products in late phase development, and we are thus a very attractive employer for people who completed their education in this area and want to start a career in biotech,” said Knoester.

Utrecht’s favourable investment climate, which focuses on biotech and innovation, is also attractive. “Many top financial institutions, such as Rabobank, Fortis and ING, are represented close by, and that is an important factor for a company. And besides that, Utrecht is a fun city, where many of our employees enjoy living”.
