Companies have access to various kinds of industry support and financial incentives in the way of subsidies, tax incentives, and more. Here are just a few examples in the Research & Development field that can be particularly attractive to foreign investors:

Research and Development Promotion Act (WBSO)

Promotes corporate R&D by means of a generous reduction of payroll tax and social security contributions for R&D wage costs

Innovation Subsidy for Collaborative Projects (IS)

A subsidy for R&D projects that are executed together with one or more knowledge institutes and/or companies. National and international partnerships are eligible for a subsidy.

These financial incentives for Research & Development are available to all companies that meet the necessary requirements, not just those in the IT or Life Science sectors.
