Strong growth Utrecht science Park

The Utrecht Science Park (USP), location De Uithof, will expand with 10 large building projects in the next few years. This comes down to more than a billion euro in investments. There will be a joint environmental laboratory, which is being built by Utrecht University, TNO and Deltares and the Hubrecht Institute will be expanded. The USP is also home to the new research centre of Danone and USP is building a new life science incubator that will be linked to the current incubator for starting companies (completed in 2014).

 

Some other projects that will be completed soon or which are already scheduled for the near future:

  • National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM),
  • Expansion UMC Utrecht, including the arrival of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital and the National Children’s Oncological Centre
  • Expansion Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (Nature and Technology faculty)
  • New buildings for Utrecht University (Geosciences faculty, Educational buildings Geosciences and beta sciences)
  • Expansion student accommodation SSH
