Double Tax Treaty between Hong Kong and The Netherlands

The new double tax treaty between Hong Kong and the Netherlands will provide for favourable tax optimisation structures for (Chinese) investors into Europe and vice versa and will most definitely enhance the economic relationship between Asia and Europe.

Although both countries signed this treaty back in 2010, it is now ratified by both countries. The treaty will have effect as of 1 January 2012 for the Netherlands and 1 April 2012 for Hong Kong.
